Hypnotherapy Defined

...no change takes place without resting, without relaxing; then stepping back and making a conscious choice of how you want your life to be...

We enter into a 'trance-like state (hypnosis) several times a day. It is a natural way for our brain to relax and restore itself. Hypnotherapy is one of the ways to soften our conscious mind (which is our fiesty analytical mind) and enter into the realm of our subconscious (our feeling mind) where our beliefs, emotions and perceptions live. Sometimes we have negative beliefs or negative personal concepts that we have accepted about ourselves, most often when we were very young. These 'limiting beliefs' are just not true and don't work for us anymore. 

This is where hypnotherapists step in. We guide the co-therapist (you) in defining the limiting belief, issue, or trauma, and employ strategies to rewrite the negative story line. The co-therapist (you) has the innate wisdom and answers to their own issues. Hypnosis softens the barriers to reach these answers. Hypnotherapy changes your life!
